Dogs Against Romney.

“I think anyone who puts his dog in a cage on top of a car for a 12-hour drive and then deludes himself or tries to delude others that the dog really enjoyed it — to me, with all due respect, I feel such a man shouldn’t be president of the United States.” – Lanny Davis, The Hill, 1/12/12

I have traveled with dogs, I cannot imagine not sharing the experience with them, it was part of the fun to watch them look at the world going by or finding a place to be cozy in the car or truck. True it wasn’t all fun and games, but I wouldn’t just put the dog in a cage or whatever arrangement Romney used, what fun would that be?

I agree with you. PLUS the fact that the dog was TERRIFIED. He soiled his kennel, which mature dogs rarely do under normal circumstances. And Romney’s only response was to hose off the top of the car and keep on driving. Plus – – there’s good reason to doubt Romney’s story about what eventually happened to the dog. There’s no escaping this conclusion – the man’s a douchebag, and not fit to be president.

The other day, Romney told a smallish group of Michiganders at Ford Field that his wife “drives a couple of Cadillacs.” I later read this interchange on democraticunderground.com:

“Which Caddy has the dog cage on top?”

    “The BROWN one….!”
