The Supreme Court has upheld the individual mandate in Obamacare, paving the way for full implementation of the law in the states and ensuring that millions of uninsured Americans have access to affordable coverage. The court upheld the provision as a tax. The Medicaid expansion is limited, but not invalidated, the court found. In short: “the entire ACA is upheld, with the exception that the federal government’s power to terminate states’ Medicaid funds is narrowly read.” Roberts joined Sotomayor, Breyer, Ginsburg, and Kagan.

Now and then, there’s a win for the good guys. Awesome.
Add: Supergenius US Senator Rand Paul just now said on MSNBC:
“Just because a few judges say so doesn’t make it constitutional!!!”
Ummmm… yes, yes it does. Good god, we learned that in grade 8.
Add: Batshit crazy Michele Bachmann just now:
“Nothing like this has ever happened in the history of America.” She’s saying the government will now be able to force us to buy broccoli. Why does this bug ass loon still get time in front of a microphone?
Wow, isn’t it amazing how ignorant you can be and still be elected!
