Re-rockin’ the 902: A momentary rant.

Meantime, this is the only performance pic I was able to take at any of the official Celtic Colours venues. Festival club, opening night. In case you can’t tell (!), that’s Artist in Residence Kimberly Fraser and friends.
God bless the rent-a-cops at the festival club. They work hard for the money and they don’t make the rules, but allow me a momentary rant. Loud, obnoxious, drunken patrons do far more to deprive everyone else of a pleasant festival experience than the occasional flash photo.
Loud, obnoxious, drunken patrons ruining the festival club performances for everyone else? Hands off. Way off.
A visitor taking an occasional photo? On him like a dirty shirt.
If they’d put a fraction of the effort into dealing with over-imbibing fans that they do to dealing with appreciative photo-taking fans, the festival club in particular would be a much more pleasant and memorable experience. But I guess amateur photos cut into the profit margin. Drunks, not so much. Hell, they’re buying drinks!
Rant off.
