A Minnesota joke.

Ole and Lena are at the kitchen table for their usual morning cup of coffee and the weather report on WCCO. They hear Dave Lee and Mike Lynch announce, “There will be three to five inches of snow today, and a snow emergency has been declared. All vehicles should be parked on the odd-numbered side of the streets today to facilitate snowplows.”
“Oh, gosh, OK,” says Ole as he gets up, bundles up, and heads outside to dutifully put his car on the odd-numbered side of the street.
Two mornings later, Ole and Lena are at the table when Dave and Mike announce, “There will be two to four more inches of snow today, and a snow emergency has been declared. You must park your vehicles on the even-numbered side of the streets.” Ole gets up from his coffee as before. He bundles up, shuffles off, and puts his car on the even-numbered side of the street.
A few mornings later Ole and Lena are at the table when Dave and Mike announce, “There will be six to eight inches of snow today, and a snow emergency has been declared. You must park your cars on the …” Just then, the power went out.
“Park it where?!” Ole exclaims. “Jeepers, what should I do?!”
“Aw, to heck with dem, Ole,” Lena replies. “Just leave the car in the garage.”
